  • What roadway will the SR-92 extension connect to?
Potential roadway alignments, routes or end points for the SR-92 extension have not yet been determined. The study team is analyzing multiple connection points including 3600 West, 2700 North, Redwood Road and Mountain View Corridor.
  • Has an alignment already been determined?
No. A roadway alignment or specific design details have not been determined. The study is still in the very early stages of the environmental process. Several high-level concepts have been identified and will be analyzed in more detail throughout the study. Concepts will be evaluated based on traffic and safety data, engineering standards, environmental resource impacts and public input.
  • When will I be able to see the concepts the team is considering?
Several high-level concepts were shared at the Public Scoping Meetings (click here to view). The study team will refine those concepts and any others that may be developed. Then additional public outreach will occur in spring 2024, when the team has screened the alternatives.
  • When will an alignment be finalized?
A Preferred Alternative will be presented in fall 2024. After a public comment period, the Preferred Alternative and environmental document will be finalized in late 2024.
  • Where is the study taking place?
UDOT is analyzing a potential extension of SR-92 through west Lehi, which includes crossing the Jordan River. See Study Area Map for details.
  • What is the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)?
NEPA outlines a federal process to evaluate whether a proposed action will have significant social, economic, or environmental impacts. UDOT intends to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
  • How is the study being funded?
The State of Utah, through the State Transportation Fund, has provided money for the environmental study.
  • If I provided formal feedback, how will my comments be considered and addressed?
Every comment will be read by a member of the study team and substantive comments will be carefully evaluated during the environmental process.
  • When will construction begin?
No solution or construction funding has been identified at this time. If a build alternative is selected, UDOT will provide information regarding construction as it becomes available.
